Many of us struggle with how we feel about our bodies, and how we feel in our bodies. We get told that we are not pretty enough, not thin enough, that we “should” be something different. Sometimes these messages are blatant, and sometimes these messages are more subtle. We may hear them from someone who “loves” us, or we might have even told them to ourselves.

In addition to the messages about our bodies, many of us have tried several times in several different ways to lose weight so we can fit into the mold of what we perceive to be beautiful.

Body Forward is a unique program to help you feel good in your body, feel good about your body, and feel good.

Originally Body Forward was designed to be completed in 90 days, however many individuals have found they like to take their time and go through the program slowly. You may cruise through in 90 days, or you may keep going as long as you are benefitting from the program!! 

There are several aspects of this program.

  • Nutritional guidelines based on principles of healthy eating consistent across several different theories.

  • Supplementation recommendations. These can be individualized if you would like to invest in three individual consultations.

  • Incorporation of exercise - you will be asked to identify a specific plan for yourself and revise goals as necessary. Suggestions and support will be given along the way. 

  • Ongoing support for you as you go through this journey. You will be asked to share what you are doing and how it is working!

  • If you need additional support, we will discuss what that looks like and how to best meet your unique needs - either by individual sessions with Christine if appropriate, or to another gifted helper Christine has had experience with.

  • Mindfulness meditations will be shared every week.

  • Mindful eating practices will be shared, taken from the evidence based program Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT) developed by Jean Kristeller and Andrea Lieberstein.

  • Emotional Freedom Technique, EFT or “tapping” will be utilized to clear out common emotions and stories that we hold related to food and dieting.

  • Specific instructions will be given on how to deal with being triggered by tapping, including grounding mindfulness practices and BodyTalk Reciprocals which I have found to be helpful with other clients who have been triggered.

  • Spiritual topics will be discussed along with relationship issues, and specific practices and tools for moving toward healing relationships - with other people, yourself, and God.

What's next?

I've spent years developing these programs aimed at solving many issues we all tend to face in our modern lives, but I'm always open to suggestions.

Content will be shared in videos, workbooks for each week, and ongoing support, and will be available on this website after you register.

This is not a weight loss program... It is a program to find sustainable patterns of healthy living and care for your body and self. This will be achieved through mindfulness, nutrition, exercise, and letting go of the things that weigh us down and create barriers for loving and accepting ourselves as we are.
